I am still celebrating my birthday and will continue tonight at the 7th

Annual Reggae Awards Ceremony at the King Solomon Lodge here in Washington,

DC. For those locally or even out of town come out and check out this

event. Stone Love is in the house along with some good local acts: Monsoon,

Lenny Kurlou, Soldiers of Jah Army, Ira Williams, and many more. This dream

of Tony Java has definitely become a reality and he has done a good job with

this event. I'm happy to see this happen because it acknowledges many who

has done a lot to expose, promote and uplift the music! Hope to see you at

Next week I have lots to talk about! One most important issue (that I'm

giving a lot of thought to) I intend to discuss occurred during my birthday

celebration this past weekend. I experienced some real crazy stuff that not

only affected me, but has affected many in our community as well. I will

need many in our community here in DC, MD and VA to support my efforts to

resolving this problem.

Additionally, I will pass on some of the results of the Reggae Awards

winners, and let you know how it went.

I had a great conversation with a brother out of New York who seems to be

very positive, and whose passion is promoting Caribbean music. Check out

Once again we have lost a member of our community, and our condolences goes out to the family and friends. Cecil Phillips better known as Bella was a part of The Carnival Mud Band here in Washington DC. For more information about the funeral arrangements please contact his family at 301-552-0009.
