The
Caribbean American Repertory Theatre (Rudolph Shaw, Executive Artistic Director), continues its program of “Black
History Month and Beyond …” in tribute to the courageous people
of Haiti by presenting, “Haiti’s
Children of God,” an
amazing stage production written by award winning playwright and
gifted actress Lorey Hayes.
The
powerful play is a tragedy that explores the struggles of young lovers
within Haiti’s complex society and their love of country and humanity.
“Haiti’s Children of God” is being presented in
collaboration with the Theater of the Living Word at the Presbyterian
Church of Saint Albans; located at 190-04, 119 Avenue, Saint
Albans, New York.
It’s
scheduled to run Thursday April 22, Friday April 23, and Saturday,
April 24, 2010 at 7:30 PM.
Stage
managed by Judy Codrington, “Haiti’s
Children of God” is Directed by Fulton Hodges and
features outstanding actors Rudolph Shaw, Marie Eusebe, Diane Dixon,
Shirley Parkinson Wright, Curt Hampstead, Wynrick Ford, Patrick
Tomlinson, Clin Hercules and
Tito Jardine (drums).
The
innovative production staff includes Audley
Foster and Judy Codrington (Production Managers), Marlon
Campbell (Costumes,
Props & Technical), Tony Davidson (Sets), and Ken
Roper (Lighting Design & Technical).
