CVS Expands BREEJ Shaving Bump Treatment To All Stores in PG County MD & NE; SE Washington DC

About Shaving Bumps - A Health and Career issue for African American Men:
Shaving Bumps plague over 10 Million African American men in the United States and more than 300 million men of color worldwide. The problem is significant, as black men have faced career-limiting assignments due to their inability to get smooth shaves. For US service men a clean shave is crucial for dangerous assignments that may require gas masks, as a clean shave is required for proper fit. We are aware of several cases where Black men in various armed forces have been re-assigned to desk jobs because they could not get smooth bump-free shaves!

On the usual question - Why does the BREEJ Anti Bump System work when people plagued with bumps complain that nothing they have used so far seem to work?

Dr. Anaebonam explains: At BREEJ, "We examined the shaving bumps problem scientifically and concluded that Shaving Bumps are primarily caused by Trauma from Shaving, resulting in inflammation of the shaved area manifested as "bumps" as the body reacts to the trauma, compounded at times by the reaction of damaged Melanin Cells [the later explains why people of color tend to have this problem more than Caucasians]"

BREEJ discourages this practice as the additional trauma can lead to infection, hyper pigmentation and significant skin damage.

Dr. Anaebonam concluded: Anyone who shaves regardless of his or her ethnic background causes some trauma to the skin. Caucasian men and women get redness and irritation [at times manifested as shaving bumps] after shaving their face legs or bikini area. However, we have seen an apparent correlation between degree of pigmentation and severity of shaving bumps". In general, the darker you are, the more prone to bumps you are. This we attribute to the secondary inflammation caused by the damaged melanin cells [responsible for pigmentation].

He obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree [First Class Honors] in 1978 from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Masters and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Industrial Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Boston MA in 1983 and 1986 respectively.

Dr. Anaebonam holds twelve United States Patents and co-authored a chapter in the Encyclopedia of Pharmaceutical Technology and the Pharmaceutical Textbook, Tablets Volume II.

He was Chairman of the New England Chapter of the United States Society of Cosmetic Chemists in 1994 and 1997.
