The Female Voices Choir of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru was founded in 1996 as the First Workshop on Choral Singing and Direction organized by the Center of Studies, Research and Diffusion of Latin American Music of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.  The Choir has performed all over Peru, and participated in choral festivals in Guayaquil, Ecuador (1999 and 2009); Metepec, Mexico (2001); Missoula, USA (2003); Nancy, France (2005), and Spain (2007).  The Choir has recorded five CDs: Cantares de Navidad in 1998; Cantemos, bailemos in 2000, Aleluya in 2002, Musica Peruana y Latinoamericana en Missoula in 2004, and En Cantos (2007). 

Directed by Isabel Salas, the program will include favorites like La flor de la canela, Prende la vela, Caramba, La jarra de oro, La lluvia, Te quiero, Son de la loma, and many more traditional and Baroque songs.
