5th Annual International Caribbean Festival "Caribfest"

“Celebrate Culture, Embrace Diversity”

Have the experience of a life-time! Come to the BIGGEST and only Caribbean Summer Festival! See and experience it for yourself!

Celebrate and experience a dazzling fusion of colors, creativity, music, masquerades and incredible art that resonates with the infectious tropical rhythmic sounds from REGGAE icon Freddie McGregor. Enjoy the exciting beat of CALYPSO, REGGAE, SALSA, SOCA and other Caribbean music. This is a day of tropical rhythm, cuisine, carnival and culture as only the Caribbean can offer!

CaribFest is no ordinary festival! It is a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture. One of its main highlights is the STEELPAN music and the many practitioners of this remarkable art form.

Enjoy the colorful PARADE portion of the Festival including stilt dancers, elaborate costumes and folklore characters. Parade starts at 12:00 p.m. (noon)

Friday, August 6th:  Kick-off CaribFest aboard the Spirit of Norfolk for a midnight “J’Ouvert Cruise” Caribbean style from 11:30 pm to 3:00 am.  Tickets can be purchased at jouvertboatride.eventbrite.com.


Saturday, August 7th:  It's "Caribfest" Time @ TownPoint Park, Waterside Drive, Norfolk, Virginia 23510

GATES: Open @ 9:00 a.m. and the fun starts at 10:00 a.m. on the main stage. Bring your folding chairs and umbrellas.
ADMISSION: General- $20, Military/Seniors - $15, Children 6-17 years $10 and Kids 5 years & under – Free.  Advance ticket purchases are $5 off general admission and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, Norfolk Tides Box Office, and virginiacaribfest2k10.eventbrite.com. For a limited time only adult tickets can be purchased for $10 and children $5 at virginiacaribfest2k10.eventbrite.com by using the promo code "caribfest".
